If you have young children, it is a good idea to do the move while they are in school or daycare. You will be busy with the movers, and it will be difficult for you to give your child the attention he/she needs. It’s a much less stressful day for you if you children are not home on moving day.

On the day of the move you or an appointed adult need to be present. There is paperwork to sign, and the movers need to be shown exactly what is being moved. After the movers have loaded the truck, you will be ask to do a walk through. That is the time to point out anything that may have been missed.

At the unload, the movers will place boxes in rooms based on the rooms written on the boxes (ie., bedroom, kitchen, garage). Furniture will be placed in the location you specify as long as it is able to be completed safely.

No. This is not something you have to do. Although the guys do appreciate water and Gatorade.

The movers do accept tips. Industry standard is 10-15% of the moving job which they divide up evenly.

No, pets can not be carried in the moving truck.

Frozen foods can not be moved. It is often easier to use up perishable food items prior to your move or just donate them.

Contact the office as soon as convenient and provide them with your new time frame for the move. Depending on the change, a new estimate might have to be provided.

Our office will call you and schedule a convenient time to meet you at the location you are moving from. Once our estimator arrives,  they will estimate the weight and size of all your goods to move.  The estimator will discuss details such as dates, offer you packing services, and address any questions you may have. At the end of the visit, the estimate will provide you with a customized written estimate for the move.
